D-Day - The day the Allied Forces landed on the beaches of Normandy.

My father was a member of the 743rd tank battalion.  They landed on the beaches of Normandy and later fought in the Battle of the Bulge.  The United States is losing members of "The Greatest Generation" at an alarming rate.  If there is someone you know who was in the armed forces during WWII, please take a moment to hug them and say thank you.  If not for those brave men and women of the Allied Forces, the course of history might have been totally different.

I am so proud that we have finally honored these brave warriors with their own memorial in Washington, DC.  I am only sorry that my dad, and thousands of others, did not live long enough to see it.

Thank you again for standing against evil.

Snakes are more than annoying

They're scary!  We have one in our front yard.  I saw him/her a couple of weeks ago and I think it was about 4 feet long.  Today we found where it had shed its skin so who knows how big that monster is now.

Even more impressive than the picture of the snake is that fact that I managed to upload a picture without calling for help.  I amaze myself!

I decided I wanted to change the name of my blog because I don't really get annoyed all that often.  Yes, the things I have listed do annoy me, but they don't annoy me often or for long.

Though, as I watched adults smack gum during church, I realized how annoying and low-class I think chewing gum in public is.  My mother wouldn't let us chew gum and then I had a senior English teacher that did a parody of a girl smacking gum and looking for split ends in her hair.  Unless you are in the privacy of your own home, or car, you really shouldn't be chewing gum.  Trust me, you look like a cow chewing its cud.
