Unpleasant + Unpredictable + Temporary =

ANNOYING!

Most things that annoy us are temporary, and unpredictable, and something that we find unpleasant may not always be unpleasant or annoying to other people.  I have a list, a long list, of things that I find annoying.  Some things are more annoying than others, and then there are things that only annoy me now and then.

I thought I would make a partial list of annoyances, and maybe I'll talk more about them later.  I'm going to put them in the order in which they annoy me.

1 - People who talk incessantly about nothing
2 - Slow drivers in the left lane
3 - Slow drivers riding side-by-side in both lanes so you can't pass them
4 - People who talk loudly on their cell phones in public
5 - Drivers who don't wave in acknowledgement when you let them in front of you
6 - Non-stop Facebook posters - there is no one I want to know that much about
7 - Stupid or ignorant people who post naked pictures of their children on Facebook or on their blogs
8 - Stupid people - too many of them work customer service in government offices
9 - Off-shore operators for American companies
11 - Mothers who allow their daughters to dress like tramps in the making
12 - Tattoos sleeves - and even worse, women with facial tattoos
13 - Political campaigns starting way too early
14 - Bad baggers at the grocery store.  No, really, I don't want the gallon of milk on top of the bananas
15 - Gum smackers - especially at church
16 - Boobs on display
17 - The bad reputation that mother-in-laws get
18 - Non-members who want to define my beliefs for me
19 - Crowds
20 - Stores starting the holiday season way too early
21 - Emails sent in text type ("u" instead of "you")
22 - Blog writers that think the more exclamation points you use, the better !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  SO Exciting!!!!!!
23 - Asking newlyweds (or anyone) when they are going to have children.  Its none of your business.
24 - Politically active celebrities - I like your movie but I don't care who you're going to vote for
25 - People who think there misbehaving children are cute
26 - Facebook posting about "oh look at the overly expensive thing I just bought"

Wow - apparently a lot of things annoy me.  It is a wonder I can ever get through a day without being annoyed.  What is your #1 annoyance?

Even I am not that brash

I wrote a post for Mother's Day, but even I am not mean enough to post it.  You'll be seeing it later.

There was a Mother's Day luncheon at church today.  I peeked my head in to see what we would be having.  I saw sandwich fixings and lots and lots and lots of desserts.

I gave up sugar for Lent - seriously, all my favorite foods and I've swore off of them.  It was so annoying.

PS - I'm not really sure what Lent is or why you give up things for it, but it sounded good.

If it wasn't for low class, some people would have no class

Jesse James is a tool.   He said he was just a biker boy thrown into Hollywood's "A" list and he didn't know how to cope.  The only thing he could think to do was cheat on his wife.  I wish the media would stop giving trash airtime.  So many people seem to feel that any public notice is better than none.  And, just to make sure he got noticed, he actually answered the question "who is better in bed?"

Annoying isn't the right word for this jerk.

The Girls Are Loose!

Today, for reasons known only to himself,my husband decided to get dressed at the same time I was getting dressed for work.  He never does that and I'm used to my routine and quiet when I get up in the mornings.  But today, he couldn't wait 5 minutes for me to finish in the bathroom.  I was somewhat annoyed but I was nice (for me) and finished getting dressed.  We both left the house at the same time and all was well - until I got to work.  I kept feeling that something was off kilter and then I realized that I had forgotten to wear a bra.  I was really annoyed because I work with men.

I emailed some close friends and family about my mistake.  My dear, sweet daughter-in-law replied "don't worry - your boobs are so small no one will notice."  Yet another reason why I love her.

At some point during the day my boss came into my office and stared at me until I was finally forced to say, "Stop staring, go away, you are annoying me!".  He has a habit of doing things like that and he is usually just kidding.  But today, I am pretty sure he was staring at my small boobs.  But, probably not.

Later I went to my favorite unhealthy fast food pace for lunch.  I ordered a Happy Meal, because really you don't need more than that to eat.  As I pulled up to the window the man said "boy or girl?"  I swear to you, my first thought was "Seriously, I know I need to lose weight but why do you think I'm pregnant?".  I was stunned, and then it occurred to me that he was asking what type of Happy Meal toy I wanted.  I got the girl's toy.  But, for a moment there, I had been annoyed at his rudeness.

I wonder who/what will annoy me tomorrow.

Hello World

For a long time I've been pondering having a blog.  Then I thought about what kind of blog it should be.  I could do a "mommy" blog with entries like "today my child used the potty!".  Someone would be sure to point out that my youngest child is already married and, if she were just learning to use the potty there might be some issues.
I could do a "crafter" blog.  But, I've been there and done that with crafts.  Besides, craft blogs are a lot of work.  You have to do the craft, take artful pictures of the craft in progress, and then display and photograph the craft in your home so people are amazed.  My home is fine, it needs no craftiness from me.
Then there are the cooking blogs.  I'm a really good cook and sometimes I even enjoy cooking. However, as my daughter-in-law likes to point out, I don't really have recipes.  She seems to think that when I tell her how to make something my directions should be more than add this, that, and some of this if you want.  Then cook it until it looks/feels right.  And, you still have to do the whole picture thing.  See - more work.
Political blog - no, not that interested in talking about politics all the time.  Financial blog - If I have money I spend it.  If I don't have money, I don't spend.  Pretty simple philosophy and I don't think it would be a very long blog.  Photography blog - nope, also too much work and then you have to talk about the camera and the speed and the light - ain't gonna happen.  Decorating blog - see "crafter" above
So, I thought about what  I can do and do well.  I am known for making snarky comments.  I make quite a few on Facebook, but I have to be careful that I don't offend my "friends".  On a blog, I can say what I want because this blog is going to be anonymous so I don't embarrass my children.  Notice that I didn't say "so I won't ANNOY my kids".  It probably will annoy them from time to time, but hopefully, it will also make them laugh.  As you can tell from my blog title, I plan to blog about things that annoy me.  Anyone care to place bets on how many things I can find to annoy me?
